Sectors

ISO consultancy for the sectors that require ISO certification.

In many industries, certification is no longer a nice to have. It is the price of entry to win contracts and stay on approved supplier lists. We work right across the UK, with a team of specialist consultants for the standards your sector relies on.

Manufacturing

Buyers want proof of product quality and often also require their supply chain to demonstrate environmental and health and safety compliance, and so typically require ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.

Automotive

As a sector with complex supply chains, high safety risks and demanding customer requirements, ISO 9001 as well as IATF 16949 certification will often be mandated.

Construction

The construction sector requires businesses to maintain consistent high standards of quality, environmental and health and safety management, which are considered critically important for ensuring successful projects. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are the key standards for the industry.

Aerospace

A sector with stringent requirements for safety, quality and reliability will often require AS 9100 certification in addition to ISO 9001. This standard is designed to ensure compliance with additional aerospace specific quality requirements, around such areas as structured risk management, product safety controls, counterfeit parts prevention, configuration management, first article inspection and enhanced supplier management.

Medical devices

A heavily regulated sector with no room for error. In terms of certification, the industry has its own specifically designed quality management standard, ISO 13485, which mandates specific quality objectives related to product safety and effectiveness, and has a more demanding requirement for documentation and record keeping in line with the higher risks related to medical devices.

Highway sector

Companies working within the highway sector are required to comply with the requirements of the National Highway Sector Schemes (NHSS), which have been designed to ensure consistency and best practice is maintained in highway maintenance and construction.

Structural steel and aluminium

The specific standard EN 1090 provides the additional assurance of safety and compliance beyond what is covered by ISO 9001, ensuring that fabricated structural steel components adhere to performance requirements for structural integrity and safety.

IT industry

The industry requires comprehensive risk management and operational resilience. ISO 27001 protects sensitive information and ensures compliance with data protection regulations, and ISO 22301 ensures the continuity of IT services during disruptions.
